چکیده
Mangroves have an important role in mitigation and a significant contribution to the wealth of macrofauna. The success mangrove management has significantly affected diversity macrofauna which are associated biota. research objectives were investigate composition mangroves mollusc communities, ecological conditions waters, evidence ecosystem services mitigation. data sources faunal, ecological, social data. method uses purposive sampling analysis using descriptive statistics. results showed that 7 species found Cemare area. Avicennia marina, Bruguiera gymnorriza, Ceriops tagal, Rhizophora apiculata, mucronata, stylosa, Sonnetaria alba. dominant Rhizopora stylosa (201 ind/Ha) apiculata (146 ind/Ha). Meanwhile, highest abundance was obtained by Cerithidea cingulate (38.94%) Nerita undata (29.20%) from gastropod class, while Bivalvia Anadara grandis (36.07%) granosa (19.67%) found). condition aquatic environment at site is still within tolerance range required for growth development mollusk species. Furthermore, majority respondents know or aware function (habitat/habitat animals), economic (a livelihood location), physical (abrasion resistance), non-physical (reducing environmental heat) Good category. These indicate efforts need be made increase revegetation, given its benefits

Prioritising Mangrove Ecosystem Services Results in Spatially Variable Management Priorities.
Incorporating the values of the services that ecosystems provide into decision making is becoming increasingly common in nature conservation and resource management policies, both locally and globally. Yet with limited funds for conservation of threatened species and ecosystems there is a desire to identify priority areas where investment efficiently conserves multiple ecosystem services. We ma...

متن کاملDiversity and seasonal fluctuation of predominant microbial communities in Bhitarkanika, a tropical mangrove ecosystem in India.
Different groups of microorganisms are present in mangrove areas, and they perform complex interactions for nutrient and ecological balances. Since little is known about microbial populations in mangroves, this study analyzed the microbial community structure and function in relation to soil physico-chemical properties in Bhitarkanika, a tropical mangrove ecosystem in India. Spatial and seasona...
متن کاملParticle-size fractions-dependent extracellular enzyme activity in sediments and implications for resource allocation in a subtropical mangrove ecosystem
The distribution of extracellular enzyme activities in particle-size fractions of sediments was investigated in a subtropical mangrove ecosystem. Five enzymes involved in carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and phosphorus (P) cycling were analyzed in the sand, silt, and clay of sediments. Among these fractions, the highest activities of phenol oxidase (PHO), β-D glucosidase (GLU), and N-acetyl-glucosimin...
متن کاملClimate change mitigation and ecosystem services: A stochastic analysis
Degradation of ecosystem services may be a major component of climate change damage, and incorporation of this factor could significantly alter the significance of uncertainty in climate-economy modeling. However, this aspect has been little investigated by economic analyses of climate change and uncertainty. We apply standardized numerical techniques of stochastic optimization to this research...
